Some Words From Some Past Students:

“One word...Wow!”

The information on these calls was absolutely priceless. Because English is my second language I always had trouble writing good copy. It's hard enough to figure out what to write about let alone write attention grabbing copy people keep on reading after the first paragraph. I learned tons of tricks on how to keep my prospects reading and longing for more.

I was really looking forward to these calls and I was definitely not disappointed. You shared some excellent secrets and strategies which I will put to use right away.

My favorite part...the last call about autoresponders. I have just recently started using them and felt kind of lost...until now. I picked up some golden nuggets which will make a huge difference in my business.

Thank you so much!

Ilka Flood

“Tops in my book...”

Mike, I have to thank both you and Ben for the terrific short course on copy writing. There is so much great information here, it is a goldmine to help people succeed. I am just getting started in the business but really appreciate all your extra effort in providing insightful leadership to the masses along with great insider tips and real education to help others succeed. I especially appreciate the PDF file with all the sites spelled out - this is tremendous. I can't thank you and Ben enough. You two are tops in my book.

All the best,

Sue Geurs

Finally understand...”

Dear Mike,

I listened to all three phone calls. I think I finally understand what you are talking about. I have not understood "Ad" word terminology. I am not a "creative" person and the word "copy" always meant, just that "copy" and I wasn't to copy from someone else without permission. I do understand that you are saying a person could use some of what someone else has said, but with one's own product/language. I will be listening to the MP3.

Thank you.

Jeanette Pedersen

“Great Job...”

What a great job on the copy series! You guys truly are genuine. Your success has come from finding what people need and filling that need in a way that reflects on who you really are, honest, down-to-earth, no BS. God will continue to bless your endeavors as long as you keep your integrity.

My favorite part was the way Mike explained his haircut. I have been a hairdresser for 23 years and know exactly what he is talking about. I see people from all over the world because I work in a small college town and it still amazes me how the guys are just as concerned with their hair as the girls. They like to know what is going on up there - especially when I get the straight razor out! So to keep your people up on what is going on and leading them to the material - even if it's not your own, really sets you apart as a leader. Great job on that analogy!

This material is going to help me to communicate more on a personal level than on the sales mentality level I had before. It was right there in front of me and I just needed someone to point it out.

Stay ahead of the curve and bring us right along with you!

Once again, great job and thanks guys!

“...will keep me busy for years...”

My husband and I are brand new to internet marketing. We started using google adwords to promote my Magnetic Sponsoring page less than 2 weeks ago. Despite that I felt like the content was immediately relevant to what we are doing.

There was a great mix of general and specific strategies. There was concrete information about how to think about the process of copywriting as well as the structure of the process itself. I found the reverences to great ad copy extremely helpful and I think studying all of that could keep me very busy for months if not years. It was clear that you both LOVE your subject and are extremely generous with your knowledge of it despite your "grave envy."

I started to use some of the strategies regarding e-mail lists last night. I feel much clearer about how to talk with the people on my list. Thank you also for developing the written supplement.

You just keep delivering more value than you promised. Thank you. It's great to have a mentor (You're one of mine now.) who walks the talk.

“...worth many times the
price of the course...”

Mike and Ben,

Thanks so much for an excellent job done on the calls.

I've always enjoyed writing and, thanks to you both, I intend to make copy writing my primary focus. You gentlemen are proof of what a valuable and marketable skill it is.

Your three-call series had so many great elements that I find it hard to pick out any one as my favorite. If pressed, I'd have to say it was the resources that you and Ben freely provided. Wow, what a wealth of information, worth many times the price of the course.

But the rest of the information you presented was just as valuable and I learned from every single call.

From basic marketing skills, to writing effective autoresponder letters and how to use them, to how to use publicity for promotion, this series provided not just an overview of copy writing, but enough details to get anyone on the road to becoming an extremely effective marketer. And in just 3 calls! Amazing.

I don't care what business a person is in, they could benefit from this series immensely. I don't know if you're going to make the series available to those who didn't sign up for the calls, but I'm sure you'd have a winner if you did.

I am extremely pleased.

Thanks again to both of you.

Sincerely,

Don Loughran

“Establish yourself as a leader...”

Dear Mike,

Yesterday was the first day I was actually available to listen in on the training call.

This is just a brief summary of what I was able to take away from the call.

1. The more effective copy should be similar in style and format to the other copy that is typically included in a particular advertising venue. And may need to be modified if placed in different ad spaces.

2. Keep it simple and yet unique but somehow make it interesting.

3. Everytime you send out an email, you are either adding to your credibility or subtracting from it.

4. Autoresponder emails, must provide value and be interesting, encourage active reading (ie. clicking), provide regular communication but also make sure you have something to say.

5. Establish yourself as a leader (perceived to have equal or greater value than the prospect.)

6. Teach your prospect, use stories to connect with the prospect.

7. Read and commit to personal development

8. Use both active and passive promotion

9. Incorporate some type of call to action....click on link, call some number, etc.

10. Use Q & A to provide new information to increase your value as a source of knowledge

11. Audio interviews

12. Tracking the effectiveness of your email delivery also helps your assessment. One source is Delivery Monitor

13. HTML and header graphics dramically improve the open and click thru rates and great diminished the bounce rates.

Being new at this, much of the jargon use by copy experts probably goes right over my head just like a foreign language.

I do think it would very beneficial to provide maybe some type of powerpoint presentation that covers both the basics and advanced aspects of copywriting including some clear illustrations for references to magnify the points. I will review the first two calls when they become available for me to listen to and give you my feedback.

Thanks for sharing.

Derek Scott

“You taught me so much.”

Mike,

My favorite call was call two. Not only did you two go into the whole process of preparing and writing copy, but you blew me away with one point. It will make all the difference in my copywriting ventures.

The one point that stands out most in my mind is research. You taught me so much.

Research the market before research the product. Know the mindset of the prospective customer and then show him how he can solve his problem. Walk him through his own internal conversation. Knowing your key market is the key to selling anything.

After researching the market, one must research the product over and over until he knows it as well as the the creator. Once you know who your customer is and every possible way that the product can provide it to him, there is no way you CAN'T write copy that makes him reach for his wallet before he realizes he's reading an ad!

This fundamental of copywriting was so superbly explained that I know I can immediately apply it to my business. I see dollar signs a-rollin' my way!

And I will NEVER forget the "cram & break" writing secret! That's priceless!

Thanks for all the value,

Ryan Whitaker

“What a difference the phone calls made!”

Thank you! Mike and Ben,

I read your book back in March of this year and loved it Mike. Then LIFE came along and gave me some other challenges to deal with which meant that this went on the back burner for a few months.

I joined the Magnetic Sponsoring community a couple of weeks ago and put in a very lame profile--blah! blah! blah!

What a difference the phone calls made! As soon as #3 was done I went back in a re-wrote it.

I think the favourite parts of the calls were:
learning to use bullets that make you want to keep reading.

Bridging the gap from the prospect to the opportunity and not the other way around.

Wow! this was great and all I have to do is write a story--I can do that! Sharing new news.

I am really looking forward passing on all this awesome information to my group (and even making some money from the sharing, not just because I am an affiliate but because those who really take this on will transform their business. I know it is already personally.

Thank you both very, very much and I wish you continued prosperity, adventure for the Holidays and 2008.
